Nick Eccheli is somewhere in his 40s. He always dresses to the nines. He’s Black, medium build, and decent looking. A no nonsense kind of guy.
Cleopatra Johnson shortened her name to Chloe when she was a child. She rarely tells anyone her real name. She’s also Black and in her 40s. She’s a real knockout with high cheekbones and a heart-shaped face. Very protective and judgmental. But a good person.
Just a bit about the two detectives throughout the two books
On The Sly
When there’s been a murder in a bar that’s a favorite cop hangout, Nick and Chloe land the assignment. Him, because he’s the best in the homicide department. Her, because she’s Internal Affairs and there’s a very high possibility of a cop’s involvement. Then again, there’s only one person that has the alarm code.
Sly As A Fox
In the aftermath of the Smugglers murder, Johnson has lost her posting in Internal Affairs and is permanently partnered with Eccheli in the homicide department. She’s regulated to paperwork only, while he gets all the fun. Then an old friend calls.
